Dr Kemal Tekeli
Kemal was qualified in dentistry in 2000 and since then he embarked on a lifelong training in Maxillo-Facial Surgery. In 2005, he became a member of Faculty of Dental Surgery of Royal College of Surgeons of England. As part of his career, Kemal is currently completing his medical studies at the University of Birmingham.
He was trained by Maxillo-Facial and Plastic Surgeons in the field of non surgical facial aesthetics. His main area of interest is in facial rejuvenation by use of botox and dermal fillers. He believes face is a unique area which requires special knowledge of anatomy and attention to detail.

What is Teeth whitening?
It's a bleaching process that lightens discolouration of enamel and dentine.
What causes teeth discolouration?
There are many causes. The most common include ageing, consumption
of staining substances (coffee, tea, cola, tobacco), trauma, nerve
degeneration, and old restorations. During teeth formation,
consumption of tetracycline excessive fluoride may cause
teeth discolouration.
Who may benefit from teeth whitening?
Almost anyone. However, there are some cases where the treatment
may not be effective. NEW STREET DENTAL's dentist will determine viable
candidates for the process through oral examination.
Teeth whitening is ideal for people who have healthy, unrestored
teeth and would like to have a whiter, brighter smile.
What are the available treatments?
NEW STREET DENTAL provides 3 main types of treatment to satisfy
different preferences.The Vitesse treatment (1 hour whitening), the Flexi treatment (home whitening)and the Jumpstart treatment (boosted home whitening). Please refer to the treatments section for more information.
How do vitesse and flexi work?
Both treatments use an oxygen releasing whitening gel, which is placed against the surfaces of your teeth. As oxygen enters the enamel and dentine, it whitens the coloured substances. Only the teeth colour is made lighter, while the structure of the teeth is unchanged.
How long do the results last?
The teeth will always be lighter than they were. However, some people may want to touch-up their teeth by re-whitening for one to two days, usually once or twice a year. This is especially useful if they continue to use staining substances such as caffeine or tobacco products.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Yes! Research and clinical studies indicate that whitening teeth with hydrogen peroxide under supervision is safe for teeth and gums.
Are there any side effects?
Some people experience temporary teeth sensitivity during the treatment. These symptoms always disappear within 1-2 days after interruption or completion of the treatment.

What is botulinum toxin?
Botulinum toxin is a purified bacterial substance that blocks muscle nerve signals. The dentist can safely inject botulinum toxin to weaken facial muscle and diminish unwanted wrinkles and frown lines that appear across the forehead and at the corners of the eyes (crow’s feet).

Crowns
Dental crowns, also referred to as "dental caps" or "tooth caps," are dental restorations that cover over and encase the tooth on which they are cemented. Crowns can be used when we need to strengthen teeth, or improve the cosmetic appearance of a tooth.
Bridges
A dental bridge is a false tooth, known as a pontic, which is fused between two porcelain crowns to fill in the area left by a missing tooth. The two crowns holding it in place that are attached onto your teeth on each side of the false tooth. This is known as a fixed bridge. This procedure is used to replace one or more missing teeth. Fixed bridges cannot be taken out of your mouth as you might do with removable partial dentures.You should replace missing teeth for a number of reasons. Your appearance is one reason, another is that the gap left by a missing tooth can mean greater strain is put on the teeth at either side.
Dentures
Dentures are a set of replacement teeth for any teeth that are missing. There are partial dentures, which take the place of only a few teeth and prevent the others from changing position. If all the teeth are missing, then complete dentures will be needed, which replace every tooth in the mouth.
Both types of dentures are removable and usually made of metal and acrylic resin, a plastic-like material that is molded to fit the exact shape of a person's mouth. Suction helps hold the dentures in place, so they stick to the surface of a person's gums.
Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment (also called endodontics) is needed when the blood or nerve supply of the tooth (known as the pulp) is infected through decay or injury.If the pulp becomes infected, the infection may spread through the root canal system of the tooth. This may eventually lead to an abscess. If root canal treatment (RCT) is not carried out, the infection will spread and the tooth may need to be taken out.

A combination of problems including decay, old fillings, missing teeth and discolouration were all addressed to great effect by restoring every single tooth with porcelain veneers and crowns, giving an enormous confidence boost.
Replacement of partial denture with porcelain bridge was made to close the gap, to give amazing smile and comfort.
Gaps and protruding teeth, porcelain veneers were used to reduce protusion with great success. A small gap was left on request.
