How Smoking effects Oral Health!

It is National No Smoking Day Wednesday 13th March 2013. Wouldn’t it be great if everyone was smoke free?

No Smoking Day encourages people to STOP smoking giving support and Advice Swap Fags for Swag.

For those who have already taken the plunge and decided to use today as D-Day for kicking the habit, WELL DONE! Smoking is bad for your health in more ways than one, and the extent damage it has on your oral health is profound. These are just a few problems smoking can lead to.

Smoking leads to dental problems, including:

  • Bad Breath
  • Tooth discoloration
  • Inflammation of the salivary gland openings on the roof of the mouth
  • Increased build up of plaque and tartar on the teeth

Helen Skelton – Why she decided to have Invisalign Treatment – 1st Entry

Why did i decide to have Invisalign treatment its quite simple really…

I wasn’t allowed a dummy as a kid so chose to suck my thumb instead! Big mistake! Sucking my thumb day and night for the first ten years of my life has left be with teeth that are not in line! To most people it’s probably not that bad, but they haunt me! The first thing I look at in pictures of myself is my teeth and the fact that I subconsciously push my Tongue behind my two front teeth!! I’ve always been conscious of them so now it is something I do without realising! One thing I do know is noticeable is the broken tooth in the right if my mouth! I cracked it on a banana chip and half disintegrated. Fingers crossed invasalign is going to sort my smile.
